SharePoint 2016 OOB Task List not Updating Due Date

Weird thing happening on a SharePoint 2016 Out-of-the-box task list, when I update the due date it does not update the due date on the Associated Task list. Has anyone else seen this? Is it by design?

I tested it in my environment and it works fine. Can you provide more details on this as well as screenshots so we can research and test better?
