Azure Open AI Service Cost and deployment for production

Question

I deployed a demo using the below link from git which was successful: https://github.com/Azure-Samples/azure-search-openai-demo. I want to know whether the Azure open AI service is available for production use or not and also whether Microsoft will support this? If this is in preview, when can we expect this to be available as a public service and production ready service.

Also, what will be the cost if use the same model as in the link.

@Abhishek Singh (Contractor) Thanks for the question, we no longer have a distinction between experimental access and production access. Once you have access to AOAI you can move to Production whenever you would like to.

 One thing to note is you may find you need a new rate limit given the AOAI quota limits. You can learn more about this and how to apply here: Azure OpenAI Service quotas and limits - Azure Cognitive Services | Microsoft Learn
