Hi Community,

We have SCOM 2022 UR1 freshly installed. We are facing an issue when attempting to discover RHEL 7.5 or 8.6. We get "Failed to find a matching agent kit to install" error, although we have imported all the latest Linux related MPs

I've just run into the same problem. To me it looks like an issue with the latest Linux management pack (10.22.1052) which I just imported into our test environment. 10.22.1044 works ok. Give that a try. We might have to wait till Microsoft looks into that

    Hi,

Please try to run a shell script named GetOSVersion.sh on the RHEL agent.

    [root@centos7_9 tmp]# sh GetOSVersion.sh

    download

The issue turned out to be with the MPs downloaded from https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=104213 and which added the scx files of version 1.7.1 under the Program Files\Microsoft System Center 2016\Operations Manager\Server\AgentManagement\UnixAgents\DownloadedKits path.

The issue was fixed after removing all MPs of RHEL and re-import the ones that came with the installation media. These have added the scx filed of version 1.6.9image

Microsoft Support provided us with the hotfix KB5028684 today which resolved the issue.
