I had a problem yesterday with the copy and paste functionality from remote desktop to macbook desktop. It stopped working and now I can't copy and paste anything to the desired desktop.

Is the remote desktop on the latest version? have you made any recent updates or configurations ?
Does disable and enable the clipboard function help?
It's worth noting that another user has reported encountering a similar problem with copying between Windows and Mac. This could potentially be linked to recent updates.
