License Type needed for Generic Logon

I have a few questions on Remote Desktop Services.

I have a need to use a generic logon that multiple people will use from the same system. The generic logon is used to ensure the apps open in Remote Desktop Services stay open between shifts. Logging in as the 'user' is not an option.

I believe if I get Device licenses that it would satisfy the licensing requirements from Microsoft. Could someone please confirm my understanding of Device licenses and the usage?

Also, if Device licenses are used then my next thing is to ensure these systems can login to Remote Desktop Services from these systems.

I am hoping that I can assign the Generic user account to the published applications and then use Group Policy directed towards the Computer Account to register the Device license. Can someone confirm if I'm saying this right? That this is what to do....

Thank you in advance.

    Hello

Thank you for your question and reaching out.

An environment where two or more Users use the same computers to access the RD Session Host(s) is an example of where the Per Device model might be used. The Per User model would work best in settings where each user has a personal Windows device they use exclusively to access the RD Session Host(s).
