How to eliminate partition doubling in 'file explorer'?

Since 2022, I add a 'Thunderbolt 4' (USB 4) box with an external SSD plate to my PCs.

= On this external SSD plate I add my user data partition (+ 3 other partitions), to have them available on my 3 PCs in my HomeOffice.
o So, I use the corresponding partition of the internal SSD plate of each PC for backup copies, no longer for originals for some of the partitions.
o Unfortunately, 'WIN 11' is causing me some problems: It's not working properly since quite a while.
oo P-1: 'WIN 11' is doubling the 4 external partitions in the 'file explorer' display on the screen, once in the branch 'This PC' (as called in the German edition), once one level higher.
oo P-2: 'WIN 11' is accompanying the folder display in the branch 'This PC' only, not in the display one level higher. But 'WIN 11' uses this 2nd display when showing the folder tree.

= For an unknown reason, I can't show the problem in a picture in this community. Please explain me a solution for this problem, as well ...

Please note: Your colleagues of the 'MS communities' asked me to move to your community because they could not find a solution to these problems.
o They asked me to enter a registry command. But it did not work.
o Please tell me how to fix the problem + tell the MS developers to fix these problems soon. Thank you.

    Hello,

For the first issue of Duplicating the partitions, follow this steps:

Right-click on 'This PC', then select 'Manage'. In the Computer Management window, click on 'Disk Management' under 'Storage' There you can check the partitions and for each check Drive Letter assignments.

Also try to to unplug the device, reboot, and plug the device after in order to refresh the storage details.

For the second issue of displaying some folders, please try the next:

Try resetting the folder view settings for the affected drive. Right click on a folder on the drive, choose 'Properties', go to the 'Customize' tab, and click the 'Restore Defaults' button. Do this for folders at both the 'This PC' level and one level higher.

Hope this resolves your Query !!
