Remote desktop farm

Hello,

I have deployed remote desktop farm with separate server roles: session host server, gateway server, webaccess server, licensing server, broker server.

Licensing server is activated and contains N-licenses "per user".

When I connect to session-host server via broker, I don't see the information about "one license is used". I see information N-licenses available. And licensing server report doesn't show used license.

Host-session server is added to endpoint-servers group of Active Directory.

License server is added to license-server group of Active Directory.

License diagnoser on session-host server is indicating license server.

How can I fix this problem with used license indication?

    • On the RDSH server, ensure that the licensing mode is set to "Per User."
    • Confirm that the version of RDSH and the RDS CALs are compatible with each other. Check the RDS CAL version compatibility in License your RDS deployment with client access licenses (CALs) | Microsoft Learn
    • Check the Event Viewer on both the licensing server and the RDSH server for any error messages related to licensing. Look in the "Applications and Services Logs" > "Microsoft" > "Windows" > "TerminalServices-LicenseServer" log.
