Hello Team,

I hope you are all doing well. I recently purchased an Azure subscription and created a communication service to send/receive SMS and make calls (program will make a call).

I have bought a toll-free number (USA - MA based) which allows me to send text messages to USA numbers successfully. However, I am facing difficulties in sending SMS to Canadian numbers. As per the response from your employee mentioned in the provided link In which countries, we can send messages from azure communication services I have us toll-free number?,

could you please assist me in understanding and resolving this issue? My goal is to send/receive SMS to both USA and non-USA (Canada) mobile numbers, as well as make calls to both USA and non-USA numbers, including India.

Thank you for the prompt reply. We will proceed with completing the necessary regulatory form. Before proceeding, could you please clarify the restrictions on SMS sending? Is it limited to the USA and Canada only, or can I send messages internationally as well, such as to India and other countries outside the USA?

To answer your follow up question- "Currently Toll-free numbers are not capable of sending or receiving messages to/from countries/regions outside of US, CA, and PR."

This means you will not be able to send/receive messages internationally to countries like India using a toll-free number.

Hi@Nagane, Shahadatt thanks for he questions. We are sorry to hear you're facing this issue. When you say you're "difficulties" can you please give us additional details? what error code are you receiving?

You your toll number verified? keep in mind that "Effective October 1, 2022, unverified toll-free numbers sending messages to Canadian destinations will have its traffic blocked. To unblock the traffic, a verification application needs to be submitted and be in pending or verified status."
