Slow startup UWP apps in Windows 11 DC mode.

Question

Hi there,

Auto startup UWP apps is much slower in Windows 11 DC mode.

But it's pretty fast in Windows 11 AC mode.

Is this normal?

Hello,

It is possible that the new feature of Windows 11 of Modern Standby could affect UWP apps.

As a reference I can recommend the Modern Standby article of Microsoft in order to familiarize with AC or DC power differences: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/design/device-experiences/modern-standby

In general I would suggest to run some performance test tool or benchtest app both in AC and DC mode to see if you spot the same difference. In that case, it should narrow down to adjust the power plan settings that apply independantly to Battery or Plugged-In modes.
