Good day, So I retrieved my PC from my ex husband (a tech guru) and I want to be sure he hasn't did some kind of "adjustments" to my system that would allow him to access my PC or make my system insecure. Please help me with ensuring my system is functional but secured and I'm safe to access the web without him receiving all of my information. What do I do?

The simplest and safest method would be to just clean install the operating system.

I'm tech savvy but not too in depth and don;t want to screw up my pc.
