New to this - I know, how can that be....
I've deployed Cloud Sync and things were working with the exception that it was creating the local AD account in the .onmicrosoft.com tenant. I deleted the user that was created on Entra AD. I did some looking and changed the UPN from the .local domain to the verified .org domain for my test user. When the sync ran, it failed with this error that I can't seem to find on the web - AdministrationWebServiceProxyCredentialsChangeUserNotFound
Anyone run across this or have some input on what I should try next?

2023-08-17T16:57:05.2633333+00:00 No, this is a new install/configuration. Setting up the AD sync for the first time. It did create the user in Entra AD but instead of updating the existing Entra AD Users (Manually created in the beginning) with test items like full address, etc., a new user was created with the .onmicrosoft.com domain. That is the user I deleted and then I went to the local user and changed the UPN from the .local to the .org domain and tried again. Then this error showed up in the sync logs.

Austin Bartlett 0 Reputation points2024-03-09T01:21:34.99+00:00 Did you ever figure out how to get this resolved? Im running into this issue as well. AAD cloud sync is stating that there is a duplicate alias attribute in AD causing a problem but none of my users have aliases assigned in AD.

Alaa Kalakech 30 Reputation points2024-04-05T15:23:35.5233333+00:00 There are two primary reasons why this issue may arise:
- The proxy address attribute in the local Active Directory is empty or differs from that of the O365.
- Deleted users are still present in Azure Entra ID.
To resolve this, you'll need to update the proxy addresses and permanently delete the users from Azure AD. I hope this information proves helpful.
