Azure DevOps Free Account - multiple questions

At this point, 2-3 of us will only be using Boards (including attached documents) and Queries.

In reference to an account started via "Start Free":

  1. Each time I open dev.azure.com it takes me to the same page where a button says "Start Free" and I can open my organization without credentials by clicking that button. But if I click "Sign-in" and provide my credentials, it doesn't show my organization. Is this the result of a free vs paid account?
  2. Will we need to upgrade to a paid account later?
  3. Is this free account secure enough to put sensitive information in it?
