The OS disk and Network interfaces were also deleted. But the issue was that the names were very simmilar and the wrong one was deleted.

Is there a way to get the VM back?

    Hello Palaghita, Alin-Ionut (T4-12)

Unfortunately, if you deleted both the VM and the OS disk, it is very unlikely that you will be able to recover the VM. The OS disk contains the operating system and other essential files for the VM, so without it, the VM cannot be restored.

If you had configured backups for the VM, you may be able to restore the VM from a backup. However, if you did not configure backups, then the VM is gone.

In the future, it is important to carefully consider the names of your resources when creating them. If you have multiple resources with similar names, it is easy to accidentally delete the wrong one. You can also use tags to help you keep track of your resources.

Here are some tips for preventing accidental VM deletion:

    • Use unique names for your VMs.
    • Use tags to help you keep track of your VMs.
    • Configure backups for your VMs.
    • Be careful when deleting resources.

    I hope this helps!
