I am using OpenAI chat to inquire about company documents content. The content is in PDF format. Will adding metadata to the blobs improve the chat accuracy?

@sleepless.swan Adding metadata will not help with chat accuracy as you will still use the search index to index the document which is then used by Azure OpenAI for providing a response. Thanks!!

But what if I extract metadata when creating the index and make these fields searchable? Shouldn't this improve accuracy?
Open AI tells me it should be possible: "Yes, you can use index fields created from metadata in Azure Cognitive Search when crafting prompts for Azure OpenAI." But I haven't managed to make it work.
