Deleting or reclaiming ownership of Azure DevOps organizations

Some of our users created an Azure DevOps environment with their live.com account which also contains our domain name form our tenant, i.e. ompartners.com.

We cannot delete those organizations or claim ownership (not even as Azure DevOps Administrator) because those account still exist for Microsoft.

They cannot login because those accounts are not known in our tenant and I cannot invite them in our tenant either, because the domain ompartners.com is a verified domain.

How can we reclaim ownership or delete the unused organizations?

Have your users that created them in the first place to delete them is a viable option.

    Hello,

Try reading the following documentation for taking over an unmanaged directory:

Take over an unmanaged directory as administrator in Azure Active Directory

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/enterprise-users/domains-admin-takeover
