regarding the power of volume liscense

Question

i’m thinking about to install windows11 with the Educational liscense supported by Univ.

And I got a question about the accessibility of the institute to the user’s information for the monitoring reason.

I think this question can be adapted to the company and other volume liscenses.

Does the volume liscense manager could monitor user’s any data? especially with the implied consent about the usage of the liscense.

The Volume Activation Management Tool (VAMT) lets you automate and centrally manage the Windows, Office, and select other Microsoft products volume and retail-activation process. VAMT can manage volume activation using Multiple Activation Keys (MAKs) or the Windows Key Management Service (KMS).

However, I couldn’t find any information about whether the volume license manager could monitor user’s data. It is always a good idea to read the terms and conditions of the license agreement before installing any software to understand what data, if any, may be collected and how it may be used.

With volume licensing, the Volume License Manager can use the Volume Activation Management Tool to monitor licenses on users' devices. However, Volume License Manager cannot monitor user data.

Monitoring user data typically requires different third-party solutions.
