Associate Learn Account with Partner Account ID

We are seeking assistance in resolving an issue related to associating an individual's Microsoft Learn account with our organization's Mobiz Partner Account. The individual initially created their Learn account using their personal email address. While the initial process to associate the account seemed straightforward, the individual is now encountering a request to permanently merge both accounts. This merge process is raising concerns as it explicitly states that the action cannot be undone and that one of the accounts will be blocked as a result. We need clarification on whether the process has undergone recent changes and the implications of having one of the accounts locked.
