Package not found when deploying task sequence

Hi,

When I pxe boot and select an task sequence I keep getting this massage

failed to run task sequence....    This task sequence cannot be run because the program files for xxxx6FE cannot be located on a distribution point"

Package xxxx6FE doesnt exist in sccm and in task sequence.

    Problem/Symptom:

    PXE failed with the error: "This task sequence cannot be run because the program files for xxxx6FE cannot be located on a distribution point". The task sequence is in state where deploy option grayed out.

    Solution/Workaround:

    Disable one of the task sequence steps, then re-enable it. The deploy button is active and the issue is resolved.

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

    Per my experience, you can just remove the task sequence step which contains the Package xxxx6FE and retry it. If it is a required application, you can recreate an application and distribute it to your DPs.

    Found the issue.

    For some reason the task sequence was in state where deploy option grayed out.

    I found this which worked
