Hi, referring to Azure VM Availability Zone configuration article: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/architecture/example-scenario/infrastructure/iaas-high-availability-disaster-recovery

"Cost optimization

There's no additional cost for VMs deployed in AZs. There might be additional inter-AZ VM-to-VM data transfer charges."

Does this means that when deploy 1 VM in AZ 1 and another VM in AZ 2, there will be no cost inccured?

    Hi,

Does this means that when deploy 1 VM in AZ 1 and another VM in AZ 2, there will be no cost inccured?

A: No, it does not mean that. You will be charged for both VMs. The quote is only saying that there is no additional cost for specifying that a VM be deployed into a particular Availability Zone.
