Unable to view network computers from client workstations in a Windows Server 2016 domain.

Cannot turn on Network Discovery in Windows 11 Pro 21H2 from "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Network and Sharing Centre\Advanced sharing settings".

Then discovered "Function Discovery Resource Publication" and "Function Discovery Provider Host" are not listed under Services. Although FDResPub and FDPHost dlls are present in the Sytem32 folder.

Can anyone help?

    Hi.

Check if the "Function Discovery Resource Publication" and "Function Discovery Provider Host" services are enabled. If not, enable them by following these steps:

    • Open the "Services" app by pressing the Windows key + R, typing "services.msc", and pressing Enter.
    • Scroll down to find the "Function Discovery Resource Publication" and "Function Discovery Provider Host" services.
    • Right-click on each service and select "Properties".
    • Set the "Startup type" to "Automatic" and click "Apply" and "OK".
    • Restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved.

    Best Regards,

    Hania Lian
