Azure Error: Failed to save virtual network gateway. The portal is having issues getting an authentication token.
I'm having trouble getting through the Point-to-Site configuration on a vnet gateway. I can provide an address poo and the root certificate information, but when I click save, the resulting notification churns for about half an hour before finally failing. So far, I have received two different but kind of similar errors.
First error from earlier this morning:
"The portal is having issues getting an authentication token. The experience rendered may be degraded. Additional information from the call to get a token: Extension: fx Resource: graph Details: no_network_connectivity: No network connectivity. Check your internet connection."
Later, this very day:
I started over with a new gateway and went through all the necessary steps. Then, upon saving the point-to-site configuration for this attempt, I get this error:
"Failed to save virtual network gateway 'vnet-gtwy-canary-2'. Error: The operation failed due to following errors: '["The vpn gateway deployment operation failed due to an intermittent error. Please try again."]'."
Has anyone experienced an issue like this? I've combed through the forum and stack overflow posts, but none of them speak to my exact issue, which, according to the error messages, are due to either an internet connection (doubtful... I've been online and even used a mobile hotspot for my second attempt) or a nondescript "intermittent error." Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I don't mind troubleshooting and would like to avoid paying $40 for Microsoft to translate their own generic error message.
