Desktop Icon adds new ICON each time i Open and Close the program

I recently got a update to Microsoft Edge Business. With this update, every time I open and close Microsoft Edge Business, a new ICON appears on my desktop. If left unchecked I could have several shortcuts on my desktop. How do I get edge to stop adding icons each time I open and close the program.

    This is a known issue after the update. Microsoft is aware of this unexpected behavior and actively starting fixing this issue. If there's any update, I'll share it in my answer as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding!

    UPDATE

    The fix has been included in Stable 116.0.1938.69, which was released on August 31, 2023. You can upgrade Edge to the latest version to resolve this issue.
