I have created a Private DNS Zone. When i am trying to link the VNET with Private DNS Zone, the Virtual Network Link tab is not available for linking.

    @Sujith Nair

    Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Platform. Thank you for reaching out & I hope you are doing well.

    • I believe you are referring a public "DNS Zone" and not a "Private DNS Zone"
    • Please note that they are completely different resources and public DNS Zone cannot be linked to VNETs.
      • The resource Provider of DNS Zone will be : Microsoft.Network/dnszones
        • The resource Provider of Private DNS Zone will be : Microsoft.Network/privateDnsZones

    If you are sure you are using Private DNS Zone,

    • Can you please navigate to the IAM of the DNS Zone and click "View my Access" and share what role you are assigned to
    • Is it the same case with other Private DNS Zone?
    • Can you please check with a different Private DNS Zone in the same subscription?

    Kindly let us know if this helps or you need further assistance on this issue.

    Thanks,

    Kapil
