Show and hide applications for different computers?

Hello,

I let my users install applications when they need by letting them use Litetouch.

However, some applications should not be viewed by all users and should only be installed on specific computers.

I need to hide the application from a certain computer (A) but computer (B) should be able to see it in Litetouch.

Can I create something like, if the computer has been installed with MDT and certain criteria apply in the registry then display these applications? If the criteria are not met, hide the application and show default applications.

That would be awesome, any ideas?

Best regards

    Hi, @lupinlicious

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

To hide an application from a certain computer in Litetouch, you can select the "Hide this application in the Deployment Wizard" option in the application Properties dialog box. This can be accessed by going to the General tab of the Properties dialog box for the specific application in the Deployment Workbench. Additionally, you can specify the device driver-specific application package in CustomSettings.ini to hide the application using the same option.

To display applications based on certain criteria in the registry, you may create a custom script or task sequence that checks for the criteria and installs the appropriate applications. However, this is beyond the scope of the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and would require additional scripting or customization.
