How do I reset transformations to initial state?

I would like to make transformation in a render, and then do another render, with all previous transformations removed.
Is there a way I can store the default state, and restore that after each render?
This doesn't do what I want, and I am using bitmaps.
I found HRESULT Reset(), but don't get any results.
