Deployed Web App only works with "www" Subdomain

Hi,

I deployed a WordPress App Service on Azure and added a custom domain, but only the subdomain "www" is working while the main domain is throwing the dns_probe_finished_nxdomain error. The DNS records are properly configured.

Please, what could be the possible cause for this?

To better assist you on the issue, could you please let us know:

Are you referring to any specific Azure doc for the steps?

Who is your DNS registrar/Domain provider?

Is this issue confined only to a few users accessing the WebApp or all the users?

I understand that you have mentioned ‘The DNS records are properly configured’, just to isolate, do you see the DNS records propagated via https://www.digwebinterface.com/ ?

If you haven’t tried these already, you may try the following:

Add a redirect rule to map 'mysite.com' to 'www.mysite.com' - please see this blog by Zain Rizvi for the detailed steps.

The problem was in the codebase, the user had the code in the global.asax.cs that was trying to force www. and this was causing the DNS error : https://stackoverflow.com/a/68484073/8194837

Thanks very much for your response. My domain registrar is domain.com. The problem affects all the users. I'll try out the steps you provided and revert with my response.
