Hi good morning everyone,

Still stuck in the SQL server upgrade project. Our 2014 SQL server has Reporting Services in it. I plan to do a in-place upgrade. I know that the upgrade from 2014 to 2019 will be "forced" to uninstall the reporting services. I have a few questions about this.

1.) I will re-install the reporting services after the 2019 upgrade, If this is the case, do you think the reinstall will get all the original configurations back? Or I still need to restore the config? Also do I need restore the reporting database (I could still see the original them after the upgrade before reinstalling the Reporting services) ?

2.) Is it possible to use Reporting Migration tools in this case?

Thank you for your sharing your info in advance.

    Hi Aniya,

Thank you for your response. I am doing an in-place upgrade. Do you think if the original configurations will be retained without any further configurations?

    Thank you again
