We are prepping a Windows 10 22H2 workstation for imaging and want to copy the customized local admin profile to the default user profile so all users get the same settings are first login. I have tried to following this article but found it extremely confusing https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/windows-client/deployment/customize-default-local-user-profile

This process used to be so easy in older releases.

    Hello,

This can only be done using the unattended setting during setup. You would need to logon with the Admin account, configure that they way you want it, and then use the copyprofile setting in the unattended file which will copy over that configured profile to the defaul user profile..

All other methods for copying over and replacing the default user profile are not supported and will have a number of different issues, some of which will be evident and some whcih may occur over time.

These can include but are not limited to ,update failures with Windows updates, application updates, store updates, unintended shared folder access between users on the same machines, potentially application failures to install or not working as expected, etc.. ( just to mention a few)
