1. event viewer related question for windows, 2.RAM full usage

There are two independent questions.

  1. While trying to learn about how to check the current log of my computer, I randomly pressed the element shieldprovider, which is one of the elements in the current log filtering(system) section of event viewer. But when I pressed that element, the event viewer suddenly did not work well and eventually self-closed. In such case, would my computer be alright? Also could there be any possibilities that my computer may be compromised in any sense (e.g. security, or anything) from selecting some options in the event viewer?
    1. During python simulation, because of RAM overusage, there are moments where my computer stops every operation. In such case, would there be anything that I should be especially careful about? For example, could my computer be damaged easily, or could any security issues be happening?

Thank you.

    Hello there,

Event Viewer is just a toll that shows the event of the system.

Event Tracing for Windows (ETW) providers are displayed in the "Applications and Services Log" tree. Logging for individual components can be view, enabled/disabled - and are a great place to start troubleshooting a component. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/shows/inside/event-viewer

For ram over usage, You may perform disk defragmentation and check if it helps.

    1. Press and hold the “Windows” button and the “R” button.
    2. type “dfrgui” without the quotes and press enter in the run window.
    3. In the Optimize drives window, you will need to left-click or tap on the hard drives you want to defragment.
    4. After you have selected the hard drives, you need to left click or tap on the “Optimize” button and follow the instructions on the screen to finish the defragment process.
    5. After the defragmentation is completed reboot your computer and check if it improved your RAM usage.

Hope this resolves your Query !!
