Purview Records Management + SharePoint - Labeled items in SharePoint not showing up for disposition

Question

Our tenant is working on setting up Records Management for files in SharePoint. We believe we've set up all of the necessary steps to apply a retention label for disposition. As a test, we've published multiple labels with 1 stage disposition reviews linked to a mail-enabled security group and short retention periods (1-3 days) based on retention-applied date. We then applied these labels to multiple files in SharePoint. We can see in the record activity that they were successfully applied. However, we have yet to see any emails or any records showing up for disposition (it has been several weeks for a few of the tests). We have made sure that the mail-enabled security group has admin privileges and that we are members of the group. Is there some step we are missing in order for the items to begin disposition review?

Based on your description, I can't determine the cause of the problem. Let’s do some general troubleshooting:

Make sure to enable auditing for your organization.

Make sure that the items to which retention labels are applied are not affected by any other retention labels, retention policies, etc. This can be done using the Content Explorer feature in the Microsoft Purview Compliance Portal.
