If meeting recordings are disabled in the admin center for Microsoft Teams, does Teams save a recording of the meeting somewhere in the backend or on the cloud?

For a GCC High Microsoft Teams deployment, I want to know if there is any recording data from voice calls or meetings stored anywhere, whether recording is enabled for the admin/users or not.

    @Alex Sitton

    Based on our research, if meeting recordings are disabled in the admin center for Microsoft Teams, then Teams does not save a recording of the meeting anywhere in the backend or on the cloud. The meeting recording button will be missing from the Teams interface, and no recording link will be generated or visible in a chat window. Therefore, if you want to record a meeting, you must enable the meeting recording policy in the Teams admin center or use PowerShell. Alternatively, you can use a third-party screen recording software to capture the meeting.
