"ntoskrnl.exe" almost always running

I know, Ntoskrnl.exe is a fundamental part of the system and it's normal to see it running frequently.

But I've always seen it running with more than 3% cpu usage while there is no running task started by me.

3% is not a small number, no wander battery life of Windows laptops is terrible comparing to it of Mac laptops.

I know, as always, I will not get any useful help from here. I just can't help complaining here.

    Hello there,

This forum might not be the right place for sending improvements to Windows.

Ntoskrnl.exe is a Windows kernel so it has to run all the time. It may do some work on behalf of different programs.

You can raise feedback to the Microsoft team. The Feedback Hub app lets you tell Microsoft about any problems you run into https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/send-feedback-to-microsoft-with-the-feedback-hub-app-f59187f8-8739-22d6-ba93-f66612949332

Hope this resolves your Query !!
