Approvals App in Microsoft Teams 'Something Went Wrong'

Why my approvals app having this issue?
Previously was running smoothly and started yesterday until today unable to run.

I did clear the cache and restart the Microsoft Teams, but still cannot be used.

Please advise.

For approval without attachement was ok but once your attached the PDF it become 'something went wrong'

Could you please provide an update on the status of the approvals app issue in Teams? It's been consistently showing the "something went wrong" message, and we are eager to know if a resolution has been identified or implemented.

Yes, when will this problem be fixed? Any Approvals sent with an attachment (pdf, link, etc.) get the "Something went wrong" message. Our organization depends on this function for monthly payable reviews by our team.

Same here. The approval task is part of our change control system in how we document approvals for internal and customer related changes. Is there a more specific time frame for a resolution?

For all those suffering with "Errors" on MS Teams when sending requests for Approvals (with attachments) here is a "Work-around" that absolutely works.

There has been very little formal acknowledgment across the various support-sites out there, but I luckily stumbled on to the included link/post that provides a work-around. I tried it immediately, and within 1 min of "saving" the change, and testing, my Approvals functionality was restored.

Why is this sort of thing not fixed within a few hours?? It's hugely inconvenient and Microsoft is a massive company!

This workaround only works if the environment shows up. Mine did not, so I couldn't use this temporary fix. I guess I need to issue an internal deviation to stop using this approval system and use our manual system until the issue is resolved, which is hopefully soon.

Currently, the approvals app is unable to be used, we have to use it manually for our approvals operation until is fixed.

Hi @Diane Yap

There is currently a workaround for users to solve the problem that approval cannot be sent.

please try:

Go to Power Platform Admin Center (admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com)

Select Environments

Select the environment in which the error occurs

Select Security Roles > See All

Click the ellipsis (...) next to Approvals Administrator and select Edit

Search for "asyncoperation" (aka "System Job") table (select "Show all tables" if not visible)

Update the read permission to "Organization"

I have the same issue, when will be resolved?

Approval is about salary for employees and without these functions they will not receive the salary in time.
