Unable to use the MS Authenticator App for logging onto Azure but can with the same account on Office. On office , it prompts on my mobile but doesn't when I try on Azure.

This is a head scratcher.
My domain account (work account) is set up with the MS Authenticator as the default authentication method.
When I logon to Office365, it prompts me on the Authenticator for verification and then allows me in.
When I logon to Azure Portal, it doesn't prompt me on the Authenticator and I end up having to use the text service.
