First, what is a smart key? I cant seem to find anything on it.

Now for my question, is there anyway to use the Authenticator app to unlock (2FA) my drives but also use it as the backup key for Bitlocker?

Thanks

No, Bitlocker encrypted drives don't support 2FA by means of an authenticator app right now.

Only the system drive (c:) supports 2FA at all, data drives don't support 2FA.

What you can do on the system drive is protect it by the TPM+PIN or even combine this with a USB stick that ´needs to be inserted before entering he PIN.
