Hello everyone,

I am working on a project that contains too many files and items. I am developing my project, and when I click any item on the top bar, Solution Explorer automatically aims relevant item. This situation is not comfortable for me. I am sure that many developers do not love this. I have researched this subject on the internet but I could not find any solution to disable this VS Mac behavior. Can anyone help me otherwise I will open a ticket for this feature request to Microsoft.

Thank you..

    Hi @Faruk Atasoy

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!

In Visual Studio for MAC, I am afraid that you can’t disable the behavior currently.

Meanwhile, “Track Active Item in Solution Explorer” feature is not available in VS for MAC currently. You can see the Suggestion Ticket.

It is noted that Visual Studio for MAC is scheduled for retirement on August 31st, 2024. It will not be implemented probably.

If you have any concerns about VS for MAC, please directly report it to product team in Developer Community

    Thanks for your understanding!

    Sincerely,

    Anna
