Cannot copy Images from Outlook Messages to Teams Chat

Hello, I'm unable to copy images directly from Outlook messages into a Teams chat or post. When I attempt to do this, the image copies to the clipboard, but won't display in Teams when pasted. However, if I paste the image into a PPT slide or another application and then copy it from there to Teams it works... Is there a setting or something I'm missing that restricts image paste from email messages into Teams?

According to my tests, pictures copied from Outlook emails can be pasted into Teams messages normally. Please check if the issue can be reproduced on Teams web.

If you can successfully use this function in Teams on the web, it means that there is something wrong with your client. You can try the following suggestions to check if the issue can be solved.

1.Clear Teams cache:

2.Update your Teams if your version is not the latest.

Thank you for your response and you are correct the paste image feature is working on the web version but not on my desktop application for Teams or New Teams which is what I've been using primarily. I'm currently updating the application, however I'm not clear on how to clear my cache as there are a 2 locations local and roaming and several folders so I'm wary to delete anything. Here are my file options using the instructions provided:

Please delete all files and folders in the %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams directory. And don't worry, you won't lose any user data by clearing the cache.

Hi,

Thank you for you assistance, but that didn't work and now the feature to paste images directly from Outlook messages to Teams isn't working on the web version either. On New Teams I can see the paste option on right click but it doesn't actually work and on regular Teams the right click doesn't even pop up this menu.

Here's what's in that file folder now and I've restarted my computer and Teams still with no luck... Do you have any other suggestions? I can paste from other MS apps and Snip & Sketch etc. but just not from Outlook.

Hi, I have the same issue. I cleared the cache and check for updates as suggested and it didn't help. I have this issue since 1-2 weeks. Usually I was able to copy the content of an email (which includes text and images) and paste everything in Teams. Now it only paste the text and leave blank spaces where there should be images. The only work around I found is to copy/paste images individually from Outlook to Word and copy/paste again to Teams. If I copy/paste the whole email at once from Outlook to Word and copy/paste again to Teams, the issue remains (only text and no images in Teams). Thks
