hi Team,

my tenant environment is hybrid, may i know what is correct method to enable the online archive( from cloud or from on premise)

i worked in 3 projects before where i always enable the online archive from on premise server but in my current project they have a different picture, they are enabling the archive from cloud.. does that have any impact

what is difference in enabling archive from cloud and from on premise?

    If the account is synced from on-prem then it needs to be enabled on-prem for the remote maibox:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/hybrid-deployment/create-cloud-based-archive

    If the account is created and managed in 365, then you enable the online archive directly in Exchange Online.
