I have recently moved to a newer iPhone. I was able to move all authenticator accounts to the app on the new phone. I have deleted the old device from the Security info tab on my account. When I log on to portal.office.com, I get prompted to enter a number on the app on my newer iPhone, and I then can logon okay.
When I log on to portal.azure.com, the sequence initially is the same, however after entering the number on the app on my newer iPhone, I then get prompted to enter a number again. This has to be done in the app on the old device. It seems the Azure portal is hanging on to the app on the old device for authentication.
Will this eventually stop happening? Is there anything in the portal I can do to resolve the problem?
