My Customers are Germans

If i upload Files from OnPremise Fileserver to a SharePoint Online document library sometimes it was uploaded to a new Document Library and not to Documents.

In the first case i had a Document Library there was on a Shared Teams Channel.

i musted write the Target Documents Library in English in the Inputfile

csv Input:

Source,,,Target,Documents,

In the sesond case i had a SharePoint Online Document Library where i musted write Documents in German Language

csv Input:

Source,,,Target,Dokumente,

If i don´t write in English at the first case and in the second case in German the Migration Manager create a new Document Library and don´t Upload in the exists

Where can i see which Language i need to use?

    Hi @Ilkiz, Heiko,

Thank you for posting in this community.

I am not quite sure what language you are using for the document libraries on Shared Teams Channel and on SharePoint Online.

The only requirement for csv files is to be in UTF-8 encoding.

If the URL and name of the file repository in your Shared Teams Channel is in English, then you should use English. If the URL and name of your document library on SharePoint Online is in German, then you should use German. Just make sure that the URL and name in the file match the URL and name of the file library so that SPMT can correctly find the corresponding file library.

You can also have your colleague use different accounts and computers to test if he needs to adopt a different language as well.

    Hi @Ling Zhou_MSFT,

Can confirm that the locale in the regional settings on target SharePoint site is crucial. This means that I have to read out the relevant locale from all Sharepoint sites before each migration and take it into account in the input file for the migration manager

Alternatively, I could of course change all pages to an language
