New Outlook for Mac - attendee options greyed out

I've been switched over to the new Outlook for Mac users but when I create a new invitation in the calendar the 'attendee options' button is greyed out so I cannot invite anyone to a meeting. Happy to hear if this issue can be resolved otherwise I'll just keep switching back to the old outlook. Thank you!

"Add required people" field is not showing up when I try to create a new event. Thus, "Attendee Options" is greeted out. I am unable to invite people to an event.

I would like to set the attendee options to default to the settings I select. They however seem to change when I log out.

I would also like all my meetings to by default be MS TEAMS meetings without having to select this option every time.

I would like the reminder time to remain at my default setting.

I am on a Mac Mini pro 2 and I use Office 365 for business.

Welcome to our forum!

Based on my test in New Outlook for Mac, i found that when we didn't fill in the attendee email address in the "Add required people" field, the "Attendee Options" option was grayed out, as shown in the below image:

Just first enter attendee email address in the "Add required people" field, the "Attendee Options" option will be enabled.

Thank you very much for this feedback. I realise now that all the buttons are greyed out including 'scheduling assistant' and 'attach file' and I am not sure if it has something to do with my MS Teams set up. I'm still trying to find a solution but have reverted to old MS Outlook in the meantime.

In order to further confirm if the issue is related to New Outlook, it's suggested that you could add another account to check if the options are disabled either.

There is no option to add a required attendee when I first try to schedule an event. None. I have a Mac. I love Outlook. The horrible UX of office for Mac is making me hate Microsoft. Making me want to get in bed with the devil Google. Google doesn't care what computer you have. Microsoft shouldn't either. Do better or I'll go all Google Workspace and dump this shit experience trying to use MS products on my Mac. :(
