Based on your description of the problem, I think it's possible that the approval hasn't been refreshed successfully yet, and I guess it is by design. Update the approval status in the workflow is a "post-completion" step, which means that the step is performed after the workflow has already been completed. If the post-completion status updates the list item, it would trigger the workflow again since the workflow is configured to automatically start on edit, resulting in infinite recursion. This maybe explain why approval workflow does not update. Another possible reason for the approval status not updating is that the Teams app is not automatically updating to the latest version. This can cause some features to malfunction or become unavailable.
