How can you include and exclude users from Microsoft Purview DLP policies?

Good morning,

I'm creating DLP policies on Microsoft Purview only that I need to exclude include only some users for testing, is it possible?

Here it tells me that I can only select distribution groups

Unfortunately, I didn't yet receive any inputs from the internal team.

However as per my research, you cannot select individual users to include or exclude from the policy.

However, you can create a distribution group that includes only the users you want to include or exclude from the policy. This will allow you to apply the policy to a specific set of users, while excluding others.
