Good day all,

I have an AD domain running on Server 2012R2. When the clients are connected to the network all is fine. But when users login to their laptop while not connected, all search results are greyed out and unable to click on:

Please advise how I can fix this!

Kind Regards,
Johan

    Hi FanFan,

    Thanks for your reply!
Yes this happens with all clients when disconnected from the domain.
When logged on with the local admin account and disconnected from the domain it works fine!
Roaming profiles and folder redirection are indeed configured.
Yes, when I run CMD from the Run box it works, also via right-click on Start button works.

Also the Quick Access links in Windows explorer do not show.

    Thanks for your help!

    Warm regards, Johan

    Hi,
Did you check if the search box was redirected to the network path? As following:

Since the domain user can't connect to the network path, so it can't be used normally.

    Hi,

I checked all Folder Redirection settings and they were all "not configured" surprisingly. But a GPresult said they are all redirected indeed including Searches Folder, so I suppose that is indeed the issue that caused it.
In an attempt to fix it I applied it and removed it again, but to no avail yet.
But I guess you pointed me in the right direction!

    Thanks so far!

    Warm regards,
    Johan
