The number of Capacity Units (CU) and vCores required for Azure Purview scanning a 15TB Azure SQL Server datasource depends on several factors, such as the complexity of the data, the number of tables and columns, and the frequency of scans.
As the actual requirements may vary depending on your specific scenario. I would recommend going through below documents and monitor the performance of your Purview scans and adjust the resources as needed to ensure optimal performance.
- Increase operations throughput limit : Depends on the number of operation through put units needed you will have to figure out the Capacity Units.
