Unable to patch Azure VM using Automation account

I have VM in EAST US, Automation Account with Contributor Role in East Us, Log analytics workspace in East Us 2, Enable machine with automation account, MMA installed in VM. Job has successfully run in Azure, but when it goes to machine, it got suspended. Error i am facing is attached here. May be it is because Automation account is Running as User. Please provide suitable reason.

Seems from the information provided, you are using Azure Update Management to patch azure vm. Azure Log Analytics agent, also known as the Microsoft Monitoring Agent (MMA) will be retired in August 2024. Azure Automation Update Management solution relies on this agent and may encounter issues once the agent is retired as it does not work with Azure Monitoring Agent (AMA). Therefore, if you are using the Azure Automation Update Management solution, we recommend that you move to Azure Update Manager for your software update needs. All the capabilities of Azure Automation Update management solution will be available on Azure Update Manager before the retirement date. Follow the guidance to move your machines and schedules from Automation Update Management to Azure Update Manager.

2023-09-29T10:40:01.03+00:00 somya lavania Thanks for the information. The machine is rebooted 11 times during update deployment and the job needs to be retriggered after each reboot. There is a limit to this job retries which is at max 10 times. After 10 times, the job is suspended. Commonly, 10 retries are sufficient and this was a one-off case which shows the job status as suspended. This is expected behavior by design.
