I got my MCP back in 2003 on Windows 2000 Professional. I would like to renew it with Windows 11, is that possible?

    Hello

Renewing your Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification is a great way to demonstrate that you are keeping pace with today’s technical roles and requirements. However, as of now, there is no specific certification path for Windows 11 as the product is still new.

Microsoft has transitioned to role-based certifications, which means that instead of certifying on a specific technology (like Windows 2000 Professional), you certify on a job role (like Administrator, Developer, or Solution Architect).

Here are the steps to renew your certification:

Connect your Learn profile with your certification profile on Microsoft Learn.

Prepare with the free content on Microsoft Learn.

Take the free online renewal assessment before your certification expires.

Please note that you can renew your Microsoft role-based and specialty certifications once a year by taking a no-cost, online renewal assessment. The unproctored assessment only covers the latest technology updates that align with your job role, so it’s shorter (and less formal) than a proctored exam.

I recommend visiting the Microsoft Learn website to explore the various role-based certifications and find one that aligns with your career goals.
