We have a 2012R2 PDC running AD Connect and just got the notification that we have to upgrade to Entera. We can't install that on this 2012R2 server and there is $0 budget for an upgrade. What is the recommended course of action here?

Simplest solution may be to stand up a 2016 (or higher) member server and install Entra Connect on it.
