Error trying to list API Objects from Salesforce Linked Service

I have created a Salesforce linked service successfully testing the connection. When I create a new dataset using the linked service , I try to list the API objects available in Salesforce but I get an error:
Odbc properties insufficient to read: Invalid URI: The hostname could not be parsed.
Activity ID: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx55c7
I tried clicking the Edit option and write the API name (asking it to a colleague working on SF) and I am then able to read and write with the dataset. I am just curious why I am unable to list the existing APIs.

Can you please validate your environmentUrl in the salesforce linked service. It should be in the below format.
Specify the URL of the Salesforce instance.
- Default is
"https://login.salesforce.com". - To copy data from sandbox, specify
"https://test.salesforce.com". - To copy data from custom domain, specify, for example,
"https://[domain].my.salesforce.com".
Also, please check your other linked service properties using the below document.

I also checked the linked service properties, the same linked service in different resource group pointing to PROD environment of Salesforce is working fine.
Any other suggestions?

Thanks for checking the URL. The issue is most likely only with the sandbox Environment URL, as your prod is working fine.
I suggest logging a support case so the support engineer can troubleshoot the issue further. In case if you don't have a support plan, please let me know sot that I can enable a one-time free support request to work on this issue.
