Microsoft authenticator codes not being accepted on older computer.

Question

I type in the codes given with and without spaces. Keep getting the same information that the codes don't match. The codes appear in a series of 8 numbers with a space between every 4. Example 1234 5678.

this is keeping me from logging on.
